ABOUT Me

Hello, I'm Nia, a management consultant based in Los Angeles, CA. I hold an Associate's degree in Public Policy and an Economics degree from the University of California, Berkeley. From a young age, I have been an avid book reader, attending book fairs with my parents since I was four and spending countless hours and dollars on books. I believe that while we each have only one life to live, reading allows us to experience many different lives, adventures, and lessons.

I started TaleSway as a hobby to create a curated collection of impactful books and to document insights and summaries of the books I love. This endeavor helps me remember the valuable lessons I've learned and allows others to explore books they may not have read. Through TaleSway, I aim to foster deeper, more meaningful connections with fellow book enthusiasts. I'm always excited to discuss books or ideas and welcome book suggestions through the website's contact form.

In addition to my love for books, I am passionate about mentorship. Throughout my life, I have been fortunate to have about eight mentors who have guided me through different chapters of my journey. Their support has been instrumental in helping me navigate life and achieve my goals. Inspired by their impact, I have been mentoring middle schoolers, high schoolers, and undergrad students for the past eight years through various programs such as Bridging Berkeley, Bears for Financial Success (BFFs), College Admissions Mentorship Program (CAMP), Consulting Career Development Program (CCDP), and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

My nephew's experiences in the public school system motivated me to launch TaleEd, a course designed to teach what schools often overlook and offer more one-on-one mentorship in a safe space where students can be heard and nurtured. Through TaleEd, I aim to help students flourish, letting their curiosity and talents shine.

In my free time, besides reading books, I enjoy playing the piano, playing tennis, snowboarding, baking, cooking, and traveling.

Feel free to contact me by entering your information below! I'd love to connect and share our love for stories and mentorship.
